Teach Lua your style

Show Lua a few reels you love. It learns their look and uses it on your next videos.

4 steps5 minutes, then Lua works on its ownUpdated

What you need

  • Lua installed and signed in.
  • Two or three reels in the look you want: your own best reels, or ones you admire.
  1. Open Styles

Go to Styles. You see the caption styles that come with Lua, and a card that says “Teach a style”.

  2. Name it and add your reels

Give the style a name. Then drop in the reels as files, or choose Paste links and paste their links.

Name the style, add reels, start teaching. The new style card goes from Learning to Ready.
  3. Start teaching

Press Start teaching. Lua studies each reel in turn: the pace of the cuts, the caption look, and how the b-roll is used. You can see its progress reel by reel.

When it finishes, the style’s card changes from Learning to Ready.

  4. Use it on your next video

Choose your new style when you start a video. Lua uses it to steer the cut, the captions and the b-roll. Everything it makes is still a normal clip on the timeline, so you can change any of it.

Teaching styles is one of Lua’s newest features. If a learned style doesn’t look right, tell us. That feedback is how it gets better.

You record. Lua does the rest.
